Environmental Studies and Policy
Provides magazines and academic journals in the field of environmental issues and policy, including perspectives from the scientific community, governmental policy makers, and corporate interests.

Medical Databases

PubMed
PubMed provides access to bibliographic information that includes MEDLINE, OLDMEDLINE, as well as: out-of-scope citations (e.g., articles on plate tectonics or astrophysics) from certain MEDLINE journals, primarily general science and chemistry journals, for which the life sciences articles are indexed for MEDLINE.

NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information) Databases
Search the NCBI databases including Nucleotide, Gene, ClinVar, MeSH, etc to find information related to biomedical and genomic research.
GeneCards
The GeneCards database provides comprehensive information on all annotated and predicted human genes pulled from web-based gene-centric data, including genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, genetic, clinical and functional information.

CINAHL with Full Text
This resource provides full text for hundreds of nursing and allied health journals indexed in the CINAHL database dating back to 1981.
OVID Journals
Ovid contains access to scientific, technical, nursing, and medical journals. Provides access to journal literature, eBooks, and databases in the health sciences.

Academic Search Complete
Academic Search Complete is a comprehensive scholarly database, with more than 8,500 full-text periodicals, indexes and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals and more than 13,200 publications. It covers a range of disciplines such as science, engineering, psychology, religion, and many others.
Academic Onefile
Academic OneFile includes peer-reviewed and full text articles from journals and reference sources in the subjects of physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, and literature, as well as the New York Times.

Specific Online Journals

Union has biology journals available online. These can be accessed by clicking the "Journals By Title or Subject" link on the library's homepage. To search for a specific journal title, simply type the title of the journal in the search bar. If we have access to this journal, options for access will appear under the journal title on the results list.

You can also search for available journal titles by subject. Simply click the subject (biology) you wish to search and journals will populate the results list alphabetically.
