RefWorks

This guide will show you the basics of using RefWorks, the research source management tool.

What is RefWorks

RefWorks is a free program you can use as a student, staff, or faculty member of Union University. 

What can RefWorks do?

  • store and organize references used in research
  • collaborate with others
  • create bibliographies
  • keep references with full text articles
  • annotate and make notes on digital versions of articles

Login to RefWorks

Creating a RefWorks Account

You will need to create your RefWorks account using your Union email address. 

  1. Go to https://refworks.proquest.com/ 
  2. Choose create an account using your Union (institutional) email
  3. Follow the prompts for creating an account
  4. Activate your account by clicking the link delivered via email (Check your spam/junk folder)

After graduating from Union, you will still have access to your RefWorks account. However, you should update your role and email address.
